MAIN BUILDING
Notre Dame, IN 46556, US
The Main Building, topped by the famous Golden Dome, is the university’s most recognizable landmark. Built in 1879 after the original structure was lost to fire, it is home to the president’s office and serves as the centerpiece of campus, representing the resilience, faith, and the University’s spirit.
TOUCHDOWN JESUS
Notre Dame, IN 46556, US
The Word of Life Mural, better known as Touchdown Jesus, towers over the reflecting pool behind the library — a 134-foot unmistakably Notre Dame icon that depicts Jesus with arms raised in triumph — conveniently mirroring a referee’s touchdown signal just a few yards from the stadium — it’s the perfect blend of faith and football, the Notre Dame special!
GROTTO OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES
Notre Dame, IN 46556, US
For those visiting Notre Dame for the first time, we recommend a short walk to the Grotto, located just behind the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Modeled after the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, it’s one of the most peaceful and sacred places on campus. A stone from the original Lourdes Grotto rests beneath the feet of Mary.
It would mean the world to us if you took a moment to light a candle and say a prayer for the bride and groom.
